New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has revealed its intention to participate in both the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh in the upcoming year. Dr. Sandeep Pathak, the party's national secretary (organisation), made the announcement during a meeting with AAP's Arunachal Pradesh unit in New Delhi on Sunday.

In the meeting, Dr. Sandeep Pathak highlighted the need to strengthen the party's organisation and establish a stronger connection with the masses in the region. He urged party workers to focus their efforts on uplifting the poor and downtrodden in the state.

Responding to a request from Toko Nikam, the general secretary of AAP's Arunachal unit, Dr. Sandeep Pathak assured that the party would organise a mass rally in the state to galvanise support and engage with the public.

During the meeting, AAP's Arunachal unit president, Yamra Taya, highlighted the current situation in the state.

He also outlined the major policies of the party, which include advocating for the repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (APUAPA), seeking a resolution to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) paper leak issue, and promising free access to water, electricity, education, and healthcare for all citizens.

With this announcement, AAP aims to make its mark in Arunachal Pradesh and compete in the state's upcoming electoral battles. As the party gears up for the 2024 elections, it remains committed to addressing key issues and connecting with the people to garner their support and trust.
