BJP MLA from Kanpur, Abhijeet Sanga, has triggered outrage within the Sikh community after he made allegedly indecent remarks against the community on a social media post.

After the PM's security breach issue in Punjab, Sanga took to Twitter and used inflammatory, anti-social language against the Sikh community, said Yuva Sikh Morcha leader Kawaljeet Singh Manu.

The Morcha staged a protest in Motijheel area on Saturday and burnt an effigy of the MLA. They further appealed to the Chief Minister that the MLA be immediately dismissed from the party.

Sanga, meanwhile, claims that his account was hacked and the disrespectful content wasn't posted by him. He expressed regrets and added that he had high regard for Sikhs.
