Actor Rahul Khanna was recently part of a unique video 'It's My Nature' in which he lent to explain how important it is to be comfortable in one's own skin and support conscious fashion to protect nature. He said the nuanced performance came from finding comfort within.

The recent social campaign of the apparel brand Cottonworld was to celebrate its 35th anniversary. The video featured people including students, dancers, content creators, creative professionals, and an MMA fighter living on their own terms by following their rules.

Khanna said comfort is deeply rooted in the foundation of the brand. The video has a liberating message that no matter who we are and what we do, we should be comfortable with ourselves.

About the core idea of the recent campaign, the actor said celebrating diversity was his reason to be part of the project. He added that actors should be comfortable in their own skin because they are constantly playing someone else on the screen. "The more comfortable you are with yourself, the easier it is to put on the skin of another. You will be able to approach the role more genuinely." said the Bollywood actor.

He added that people think acting is lying convincingly but the job is more about telling the truth. "Being able to tap into real emotions within yourself so that you can then express them authentically as the character. That's something you strive for as an actor".

The actor was last seen in the Netflix show 'Leila'. He has also appeared as a host for fashion shows and models for fashion brands. Khanna said he loved fashion but ultimately, it is ephemeral. "Style is what interests me more because it is a creative expression of your personality and manifests in every aspect of your life."

He noted that his take on acting is not as an expert but as someone still figuring it out. "We are all riddled with self-doubt and insecurities. So, why not celebrate the things we like about ourselves?"
