Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt will be soon seen in a Hollywood project alongside Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. She took to Instagram to share the news of leaving for the shooting location, and wrote 'feel like a newcomer all over again'.
Her debut film 'Heart of Stone' is being shot at an undisclosed location. "And off I go to shoot my first ever Hollywood film!!! Feel like a newcomer all over again. So nervous. Wish me luck," said one of India's highest-paid actresses.
Heart of Stone is a Netflix spy thriller directed by Tom Harper, known for Peaky Blinders and BBC miniseries War & Peace. Written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, the plot revolves around Rachel Stone (played by Gal Gadot).
Gadot plays an intelligence operative who is protecting her global peace-keeping organisation and dealing with the loss of its most valuable yet dangerous asset. The film is planned to be the first in a franchise similar to Mission: Impossible.
Alia Bhatt is known for essaying nuanced roles in movies like Highway, Dear Zindagi, Raazi, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. She is known to pick roles that draw critical acclaim after many dismissed her portrayal of a rich girl in her debut movie Student of the Year. Her next film Highway, in which she played a lonely teenage girl who develops Stockholm syndrome after being abducted, won her Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
Bhatt will be soon seen in Ayan Mukherji's fantasy film Brahmastra, the first in a trilogy. The crew has been working on the project for five years. She is also slated to work in a Darhan Akhtar film 'Jee Le Zaraa' alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
