After three local BJP leaders met with five other party leaders in Pandoh, Bollywood actress and Mandi-based BJP Lok Sabha candidate Kangana Ranaut may find her chances ruined. Currently, Pratibha Singh, the president of the Himachal Pradesh Congress, holds the position.

Three BJP leaders, former Anni MLA Kishori Lal Sagar, former state BJP general secretary Ram Singh, and son of former BJP MP Maheshwar Singh, Hiteshwar Singh, had rebelled against the BJP to run as independent candidates in the 2022 Assembly elections after being denied tickets, The Tribune reported.

In the most recent assembly elections, Ram Singh received 11,937 of the 71,165 votes cast from the Kullu Sadar constituency. In the same elections, Hiteshwar received 14,932 of the 61,908 votes cast in the Banjar constituency, while Kishori Lal received 6,893 of the 67,468 votes cast in the Anni constituency, the Wire reported.

According to the newspaper, when former chief minister Jai Ram Thakur was in Kullu on March 26th, he attempted to appease Maheshwar Singh. However, the following day, Hiteshwar, the son of the former MP, was negotiating with eight irate BJP leaders. Following his denial of a ticket for the Assembly elections, Ram Singh withdrew from the party.

The state BJP leadership, he claimed, was welcoming Congress leaders while ignoring those who had dedicated their entire lives to the party. Now that the three district leaders and five Mandi leaders have united behind a single platform, the BJP's ambitions to unseat the Congress party in Mandi are probably going to be derailed.

The NDA ally, MLA Bacchu Kadu-led Prahar Janashakti Paksha, has fielded their candidate. Navneet Rana (BJP), Balwant Wankhede (Congress), and Dinesh Boob (Prahar) are the three candidates running for the Amravati Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra. In a rushed press conference on Friday, the PJP office-bearers declared Boob's candidature, according to Mid-day. Kadu was prepared to sever relations and refused to withdraw his candidature.

Kadu was prepared to sever relations with the NDA if necessary and refused to withdraw his candidature. Rana's candidature has also been publicly criticised by Shinde Sena leader Abhijit Adsul, a former MLA, and his father, Anandrao Adsul, a former MP from Amravati. Abhijit has vowed to run as an independent in the election.

Navneet Rana supported the BJP despite being elected as an independent in 2019. She received the ticket and was accepted into the ruling party even though her caste certificate was contested in court. The Congress has three MLAs and the BJP has one in Amravati, while Kadu's Prahar has two.
