New Delhi: Deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met on Tuesday for a "detailed discussion" on several issues related to politics and the economy.

The RJD leader said his meeting with AAP head Kejriwal involved a "detailed discussion on current social, political, and economic issues". He shared pictures on Twitter and wrote: "The BJP government has mortgaged public undertakings, resources, national wealth, and the country to capitalists. We all have to save the country together."

Kejriwal replied to the tweet and said "it was a very fruitful meeting and a wide range of issues affecting the country were discussed."

Earlier today, the Delhi government said it approved a proposal related to the transplantation of trees that needed to be removed for the construction of PM's Enclave. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) had sought permission for the transplantation of 173 trees from the project site, which will include the Prime Minister’s Office. "The CM took up the matter on priority given its importance, his timely intervention in the matter has helped expedite the project," said the government.

RJD working president and Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday said that the party is striving to increase its strength in Jharkhand. It is also working with like-minded parties to prevent the BJP from reviving itself in the state.
