Assistant of wanted 'Pvt detective' in Aryan Khan selfie arrested

Pune: City police has arrested Sherbano Qureshi, assistant of wanted accused Kiran Gosavi, in a cheating case in Pune, The Indian Express reports. Gosavi is a self-styled detective cited as an "independent witness" by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Mumbai ship raid case.

Gosavi has been named in multiple cheating cases in Mumbai, Pune and Thane and is a wanted accused in the Pune cheating case. Police said that although Qureshi was not named as an accused in the FIR, the investigation had confirmed her involvement in the case filed at Faraskhana police station in 2018. According to Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Galande of Faraskhana police station, Qureshi was Gosavi's assistant when the crime occurred, and money in the case was transferred to her bank account.

The court remanded her to police custody for further investigation till October 22.

There are three more cheating cases lodged against Gosavi, including one at Andheri in Mumbai in 2007 and two at Kapurbawdi in Thane in 2015 and 2016. Pune City police had issued a look-out circular on Gosavi on the 13th of this month to stop him from leaving the country.
