Bharat Jodo Yatra: Snowfall may spoil the closing ceremony

New Delhi: Heavy snow fall is likely to get in the way of the closing ceremony of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar on Monday.
The inclement weather could play spoilsport as snowfall already forced closing Srinagar-Jammu national highway, alongside raising concerns of disrupting air traffic as well.
Low visibility from the continuing snowfall delayed flights to Srinagar, said Kuldeep Singh Rishi, Srinagar's airport director.
Meanwhile, Vistara Airlines cancelled both its flights from Delhi to Srinagar for the day. Many invitees are unlikely to make it to the concluding ceremony.
The Congress leadership invited leaders from 21 Opposition parties to the closing ceremony.
However Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, and TDP chose not to participate over security concerns.
Rahul Gandhi made over 100 stump speeches, and 13 press conference on course of the march alongside holding over 275 walking interactions and more than 100 sitting interactions, according to NDTV.
The yatra marked its arrival at its last post of Lal Chowk on Sunday with Rahul Gandhi hoisting the national flag.
The Congress leadership organized a mega rally at Sher-I-Kashmir Cricket Stadium to culminate the march that started from Kanyakumari.
The Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi spent135 days on the road, covering 3,970 km in 12 states, and two Union territories.
