BJP chief compares Rahul Gandhi to Osama bin Laden

Patna: In a controversial statement Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party chief Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday compared Rahul Gandhi to Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden, saying that Gandhi grows a beard like Bin Laden. Just by growing a beard, one cannot become the Prime Minister of a country, he added.

"Rahul Gandhi while enhancing the beard like Laden and roaming in the country will not make him Prime Minister. We perceive him as a 50-year-old child in politics”, Chaudhary said while addressing a gathering in Araria to inform the people regarding the Central government's achievements in the past nine years.

Continuing his remarks, Chaudhary referred to Rahul Gandhi as a 'child' and argued Rahul Gandhi lacked the necessary political intelligence, likening him to a person with the intellectual capacity of a child.

The state BJP chief also went on to say that if the party comes to power in Bihar, it will stop practices like cattle murder, and love jihad. Chaudhary also expressed the BJP's commitment to identifying and deporting Bangladeshi infiltrators and criticized individuals who praise Pakistan while residing in India.

“Crores of people in this country keep a beard. Are they all Osama Bin Laden?” asked Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Jha, condemning the statements by the BJP leader.
