BJP hold high-level meeting on Lok Sabha election preparations

New Delhi: The BJP is currently holding an internal meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting is taking place at the party's extension office and is attended by prominent leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party chief JP Nadda, and the party's National General Secretary (Org) BL Santhosh.

Amidst discussions about ticket distribution, Karnataka BJP President B Y Vijayendra expressed confidence that any issues regarding disgruntlement among aspirants will be resolved. He emphasized unity within the party to ensure victory in all 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Vijayendra targeted the ruling Congress, highlighting their failure to field ministers as candidates despite claims of winning a significant number of seats.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Pratibha Singh addressed the candidate selection process, stating that the party is deliberating on fielding the most suitable candidates. She indicated that decisions regarding her own candidacy, particularly from the Mandi constituency, will be made by the party's high command.

Delhi Congress Chief Arvinder Singh Lovely announced the upcoming INDIA Alliance rally scheduled for March 31, emphasizing its significance in the fight to protect democracy. He expressed solidarity with alliance partners and emphasized the importance of unity.

In Bhubaneswar, BJP leader Aparajita Sarangi received a warm welcome from party workers after being nominated as the candidate for the Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency.

Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar announced the first list of candidates, stressing the need for cooperation to combat fascism. NCP-SCP leader Jitendra Awhad echoed the sentiment, urging collaboration among parties to safeguard the Constitution.

Sushil Kumar Rinku and Sheetal Angural met BJP national president JP Nadda at his residence in Delhi.
