The National Executive meeting of the BJP's minority wing shall be held in New Delhi on Sunday. The political strategy ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in five states shall be discussed at the meeting with a focus on how to reach out to the minority community and, particularly, the Muslim community.

BJP's Minority wing National President, all national office bearers, the party presidents and state in-charges of all states of the minority wing, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and D Purandeswari, BJP Minority wing in-charge and party's National General Secretary, shall attend the meeting.

Jamal Siddiqui, the BJP Minority wing National President, said that the meeting would discuss the current political situation in the country. The future strategy of the minority wing would also be discussed in the party's executive committee meeting, he added.

Both the Modi-led central government and state-level BJP governments of different states have worked tremendously for the welfare of all minorities, including Muslims. This was never done before by previous governments, he claimed.

The minority wing would make a strategy to take the party's achievements to every household of the minority community to combat misinformation, he said.

A meeting of all national office-bearers of the party's Minority wing was conducted at the BJP's national headquarters on Saturday to decide the agenda for the executive meeting to be held on Sunday.

Opposition parties have often slammed the BJP for being 'anti-Muslim'. The Minority wing is now attempting to change this image and reach out to Muslim voters, party leaders said.
