Gonda: As per Allahabad High Court order, police registered an FIR against Gonda BJP MP Kirti Vardhan Singh and two police inspectors in a case of forcibly taking possession of a gurudwara here. The incident pertaining to the criminal case happened in September last year, PTI reports citing officials on Thursday.

One of the accused inspectors was then the Mankapur Kotwali police station in charge.

Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal said that 50 to 60 others have also been included in this case registered with the Mankapur police station.

Acting on a writ petition filed by a woman named Gurbachan Kaur in connection with this incident on January 30, the High Court had ordered the registration of a case against the accused.

The police had not lodged a case despite the court's earlier order.

The woman had approached the High Court when no case was registered for months.

According to the complainant, Gurbachan Kaur, her father-in-law Mohar Singh built a house in Mohalla Bhagat Singh Nagar, with a gurdwara on the premises of the house, Times of India reported.

According to Hindustan Times, Kirti Vardhan Singh arrived at Mohar Singh's property with two inspectors (the other inspector named was Arun Kumar Rai) along with others and threatened Mohar to vacate the premises.
