New Delhi: BJP has released their election manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, promising that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented and the International Ramayana Festival will be conducted. The Manifesto was released in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah. The PM said that the Manifesto, titled "Modi Ki Guarantee", is for complete national development and claimed that the Manifesto only mentions the things that will be implemented.

The Manifesto offers free treatment up to 5 lakh for those who are older than 70 years of age. In addition to UCC and the Ramayana Festival, the party promises Vande Bharat trains. A feasibility study of the North-South bullet train route will be done, it added.

It promised that three crore more houses would be built for the poor and made a 6G technology announcement. The Manifesto promised that the Mudra load would be increased from 10 lakhs to 20 lakhs. Women's reservations will be implemented. A new criminal law will be introduced, and taxes on petroleum products will be reduced, as promised in the Manifesto.

Everyone above the age of 70 will be included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Manifesto says.

The remaining list of promises goes like this. The gas pipeline will be connected to every house. The electricity bill will be brought to zero. The rooftop solar project will be expanded. Three crore houses will be constructed through Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Transgenders will be included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Houses will be provided to differently-abled persons through the PM Awas Yojana. Strict action against corrupt people. The free ration will continue for the next five years.

In view of the promises in the Manifesto, there is criticism that this Manifesto is aiming for the votes of the commoners.

The election manifesto was formulated by a 27-member committee headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman acted as the coordinator, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal as the co-ordinator. The BJP claimed that it had collected more than 1.5 million recommendations to prepare the Manifesto.
