New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Monday that officers in Delhi are complaining that they will not work, citing "threats and pressure" from the BJP. He said that this is leading to a constitutional crisis in the national capital, PTI reported.

The CM said that the problem happens so because Delhi is not enjoying complete statehood, and its real power lies with the Centre. Also, the BJP leads the Centre, and it does not want the elected party in Delhi- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)- to do its work.

He was speaking at the Delhi assembly.

He said that some officers are blocking the one-time settlement scheme of the water bills. According to him, the officers are forced to do so by means of threats and pressure from the BJP.

So far BJP has not responded to the comment.

The AAP national convenor, Kejriwal, said that officers' unwillingness to work is creating a serious crisis in the national capital.

The CM appealed to Lt Governor VK Saxena to call the officers for clearance of the scheme and added that 10.5 lakh families will benefit from this "good scheme".

The AAP chief took a dig at the BJP-led Centre, saying that if the Enforcement Directorate is shut down on the day and Section 45 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act is abolished, senior BJP leaders like Shivraj Chouhan and Vasundhara Raje will leave the saffron party and make their own parties, implying that both are standing with BJP fearing central probe agencies. Kejriwal made the comment at a meeting with Congress leaders Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Mallikarjun Kharge, Asian News International reported.
