New Delhi: It seems bookies have a field day today, predicting polls results in five states.

Bookies at the Satta bazar market has stolen the limelight in the early morning as the results are yet to heat up.

New Agency IANS reported that bookies, betting on results of polls in the states including Uttar Pradesh, and Goa, put BJP in driver's seat.

When it comes to Punjab they threw their weight behind Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) as potential triumphant party. They see no other party coming close to AAP.

They are known to have shaken hands over UP and Punjab on the basis of seats while in Goa and Uttarakhand they bet on incoming governments.

In Punjab, they are giving the AAP 40 paise against a rupee, predicting a possible AAP government in the state, IANS reported.

In Punjba the Congress could emerge in second position with Akali Dal in the third slot—however, BJP is nowhere in their calculation.

A bookie not willing to give name said that bookies are considering

40 paise for the AAP government, Rs 3.50 for the ruling Congress and Rs 25 for the BJP.

As per their calculation, the AAP gets 55 paise for 50 seats and 80 paise for 52 seats. The Congress is being paid 40 paise for 30 seats and Re 1 for 32 seats, the report said.

They have predicted that AAP is more likely to garner 50 seats with congress being pegged at 30 seats. "A new wave have entered Punjab. Farmers are supporting the AAP. It was ahead of all others since the beginning. This did not change anywhere," said a bookie.

Cut to Goa, bookies believe BJP as highly likely to form government despite the formidable challenge by the Congress—in the similar vein BJP may come to power in Uttarakhand as well, they believe.
