Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter and BRS leader K Kavitha is being investigated by the ED in the Delhi liquor policy case. She is set to appear before the Enforcement Directorate for questioning. In protest, anti-BJP posters showed up in Hyderabad.

The posters showed several politicians who quit other parties and joined the BJP and pointed out that they are not facing any agency raids.

On Friday, Kavitha launched a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to demand the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill in the current Budget session of Parliament. She arrived in Delhi on March 8 hours after the summon was issued and asked the ED to postpone questioning till Saturday so that she can carry out the scheduled strike.

On Monday night, Kavitha will be made to sit face-to-face with Hyderabad-based businessman Arun Ramchandra Pillai, who was arrested in the same case. She said the summons are a "tactic of intimidation" by the Centre against the BRS and Telangana CM.

Earlier the BRS criticised the central probe agencies and called them an extended arm of the BJP. BRS leader Ravula Sridhar Reddy said the summons are politically motivated and no one except the BJP and ED understands the case in connection with the now-withdrawn policy.

She said the BRS will continue to expose the Centre's failures and raise its voice for a better future. She tweeted: "I would also like the ruling party at the Centre to know that these tactics of intimidation against the fight and voice of our leader, CM KCR, and against the entire BRS party will not deter us. Under the leadership of KCR Garu, we will continue to fight to expose your failures and raise voice for a brighter and better future for India."
