Rewa: Police have arrested three people including two minors and launched search for three others after a teenage girl was gang-raped in Naigarhi in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district on Saturday.

Bulldozers have been brought in to demolish the homes of the three suspects arrested in the case, according to India Today.

On Saturday afternoon, the teenage girl went for a walk with her friend and ended up visiting Ashatabhuji Mata temple in Naigarh, police said.

Afterwards, they were sitting nearby the temple when six youths approached them and dragged the girl to a waterfall by the temple before gang-raping her in front of her friend.

The accused beat her up and snatched her mobile phone and anklet as well as threatening the girl and her friend of consequences if they informed anyone of the incident.

However, the girl and her friend approached the police station. Police said the condition of the girl was weak and was immediately admitted to hospital for treatment, and registered a case against six accused.

Meanwhile, the administration rolled out bulldozers targeting the houses of three arrested suspects.
