Bus catches fire in Nashik,  leaving eight dead, 15 injured

Nashik: Police in Nashik, Maharashtra, said that a bus caught fire on Friday night, resulting in at least eight fatalities and 15 injuries.

Around five in the morning, a private bus was involved in an accident on Aurangabad Road when it collided with a shipping container and quickly caught fire, according to an official, ANI reported.

According to the police, injured victims have been transferred to a hospital. If all those killed and injured were bus passengers was not immediately evident.

"We are still trying to ascertain the exact number of deaths with the doctor's confirmation," Nashik Police said.
