Bengaluru: Members of a Christian missionary were caught on camera being attacked by a mob on December 23, 2022, in the Malleswaram area of Bengaluru when they were distributing the Bible.

One of the members said that people gathered when a woman raised her objection to the distribution of the Bible as their group was distributing Bibles and chocolates in the joy of Christmas.

Those who gathered around the missionary members not only assaulted the group but also threw the Bibles after abusing them.

One of the members named Rebecca was quoted by The News Minute describing the incident saying, “the confrontation began when a woman approached them and asked why they were distributing Bibles. The woman then verbally abused them and vandalised a Bible, gathering a crowd to support her actions”

Prajwal Swamy, President of Akhila Bharath Cristha Mahasabha, condemned the incident and said that a complaint has been filed with the Director General of Police (DGP).
