Class 5-girl sends gratitude letter, CJI sends signed copy of Constitution

Thrissur: A letter of a class-five student to the Chief Justice of India is an example of how the happenings in the country influence even a child and how alert the children are about their surroundings.
Lidwina Joseph, a class 5 student from Kendriya Vidyalaya Thrissur, Kerala, wrote to the Chief Justice of India, Ramana, to show her gratitude for the orders from the SC to ensure oxygen availability amid the pandemic crisis in the country.
In her letter, she said she is "happy and proud" of the series of steps passed by the Supreme Court of India to alleviate oxygen shortage in the national capital during the COVID-19 second wave peak.
Chief Justice Ramana wrote back thanking the little one for her "beautiful" letter and the "heartwarming illustration" with a signed copy of the constitution.
"I am really impressed with the way you kept track of happenings in the country and the concern that you have displayed for the well being of people in the wake of the pandemic. I am sure you will grow up into an alert, informed and responsible citizen who will contribute immensely towards the nation-building," wrote CJI Ramana.
Lidwina, in her letter, included an illustration of a scroll and a judge smashing a coronavirus with a gavel, along with a tricolour and a Mahatma Gandhi portrait. "I was much worried about the deaths at Delhi and other parts of the country due to corona. From the newspaper, I understood that your honourable court has intervened effectively at the sufferings and death of ordinary people in the fight against COVID-19," she wrote.
"I am happy and feel proud your honourable court has moved orders for supply of oxygen and saved many lives," she added.
