Congress' stomach aches when we say crossing 400 seats: Shah

Kota: When BJP says the party will win more than 400 seats, the Congress get a stomach ache and claims that BJP will remove reservations, Amit Shah claimed on Saturday. He reminded a crowd of BJP workers here that after the BJP was elected in 2014 and 2019, it used the power the people gave them to abolish Article 370, build Ram Mandir, implement CAA and give 33 per cent reservation to women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies, Asian News International reported.
He then slammed Congress, claiming that if the party came into power, Kota would have become the centre of the banned organisation Popular Front of India (PFI). Congress has promised that they will lift the ban on the party if they come into power, Shah said, adding that Congress is an antidevelopment party.
He further said that the Ashok Gehlot government in Rajasthan did not allow the Eastern Rajasthan Canal project to move forward, but the Bhajanlal Sharma government signed the agreement for the project three months after taking office.
Later, he continued with his claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave Rs 20,000 crore to 87 lakh farmers in Rajasthan Kisan Samman Nidhi and made 3 lakh lakhpati didi. BJP supplied 51 lakh poor people’s homes with tap water while 2 crore benefited from the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Shah claimed.
On Friday, the 12 Lok Sabha Constituencies in Rajasthan went to polls. The second phase will have elections on April 26, when the remaining 13 seats will go to polling stations.
