Washington: YouTube to ban contents that spread the misinformation about COVID-19. All videos which contradict the information provided by the health experts and WHO are to be removed. Facebook has also taken a similar decision couple of days ago.

The decision is followed by the spread of fake propagation such as the vaccine will kill people, lead to infertility and fake implant of the microchip in the human body while injecting the vaccine. YouTube claims to have removed two lakh videos with misleading COVID-19 information since February. Content that discourages people from seeking medical treatment, promotes medically unsubstantiated treatment methods or disputes the efficacy of social distancing guidelines are those videos which YouTube claims to have removed from the platform.
