Cow slaughter ban will be a reality in Karnataka soon: CT Ravi
cancel

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Minister and currently in charge of state BJP affairs in Maharashtra, Goa and Tamil Nadu, CT Ravi has said via Twitter that a ban on cow slaughter in Karnataka is imminent.

The tweet further read that he learned this from Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Chauhan and that he will attempt to get The Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter & Preservation of Cattle Bill passed in the impending Assembly session.

The tweet was met with overwhelming support for the cause, including many people using hate speech against minorities and self-proclaimed #GouPremis. It has also received several pleas talking about how the ban will affect those who rely on it economically.

In the past, CT Ravi has been open about taking a Hindutva stand. He has also recently received a promotion to a national level role.
