New Delhi: A cloth businessman based in Delhi has been arrested for allegedly murdering his employee and then stuffing the body into a bag which he then dumped in front of the metro station in Sarojini Nagar near a popular market a few days ago.

The deceased, who worked as a salesman in the businessman's company, had allegedly been in a sexual relationship with his employer. Videos of an intimate nature had been made with which the employee had blackmailed the businessman and extorted large sums of money from him, police reports said.

"A strained homosexual relationship led to the murder. The deceased was extorting with the threat of making their videos go viral. We solved the case within two days," said DCP (Southwest) Gaurav Sharma to the Times of India.

On January 29, a police team comprising SHO Devender Kaushik and others began the probe. The body was identified to be of a 22-year-old man working with a trader in a well-known market in south Delhi.

The arrested businessman had allegedly sought the help of his nephew from Khurja and a friend, then arranged for them to travel to Delhi, where they jointly committed the murder and then stuffed the body inside a trolley bad which was dumped outside the metro station, police officials told the media.

"They booked two rooms in a guesthouse at Yusuf Sarai where they gave their voter ID to make entries in the register. CCTV footage showed them entering the premises with a trolley bag," added the DCP.

They left for their homes with the nephew taking away the mobile phone and wallet of the deceased and the empty suitcase to Khurja. He burnt the wallet and other documents and flushed the ash in the bathroom. After a raid at Khurja, the other accused were arrested. The WagonR car used to transport the body, the deceased's mobile phone and the trolley bag were seized, Times of India reported.

The accused disclosed that they had planned to commit the murder on January 19, but postponed it due to heavy security for Republic Day.
