Gangster Jitender Maan (aka Gogi) was shot dead by a rival gang's assailants in the Rohini Court, Delhi. The incident took place when Gogi was brought to the court, and assailants were posing as advocates.

The assailants were from a rival gang led by another jailed gangster Sunil aka Tillu Tajpuriya, reported The Indian Express. They were shot dead by the Members of the Counter Intelligence team of the Special Cell who were with Gogi.

A senior police officer said that the rival gang members whipped out pistols and opened fire minutes after Gogi entered the court. Gogi was rushed to the hospital but died of gunshot wounds.

Gogi's associate Kuldeep alias Fajja had escaped from police custody when he was brought to Karkardooma Court. Since then, the gang members were accompanied by members of the counterintelligence team.

Gogi and his gang were involved in dozens of crimes involving murders, attempts to murder, extortion, possession of illegal arms, carjacking, and land grabbing. The Jitender Gogi has a decade-old rivalry with the Tillu gang, and it started during Delhi University student elections around 2010, reported Hindustan Times.
