Patna: As the ongoing Bihar Assembly polls is entering to the second phase of voting on Tuesday, questions are being raised over the demise of Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan.Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's party HAM's spokesman Danish Rizwan wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a judicial probe into Paswan's death

"Everyone is sad from the death of Ram Vilas Paswan. But, the very next day of death, his son Chirag Paswan was seen shooting a video and smiling", Rizwan wrote.

Despite being a Union Minister, why was Ram Vilas Paswan's medical bulletin not released, he asked

Rizwaan wrote in the letter that it should be ascertained that on whose request a medical bulletin was not issued. The letter asked why after hospitalisation, only three people were allowed to meet Senior Paswan

Accusing Chirag, Rizwan said there are many such questions related to the demise of Ram Vilas Paswan. He said that the whole country wants to know, therefore, there should be a judicial inquiry into the matter.

Reacting angrily to the accusations, Chirag Paswan said ,"Jitan Ram Manjhi Ji must tell me. Didn't he call up my father when he was hospitalised and speak to him? If he was so concerned about his health, he should have come and met him at the hospital."

Adding that this is a new low in politics, Chirag said that his opponents have now began to do politics on my father's death.

"This shows they are bereft of any real electoral issues.", he further said

The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) of Paswan is contesting elections in Bihar after separating from the NDA.

In second phase of the polls,The LJP is contesting 52 seats, including the two it had won in 2015 contesting as an NDA constituent. The party has fielded one transgender candidate too in this phase.

According to the Election Commission, votes will be cast at a total of 41,362 polling stations
