New Delhi: On the death of BJP leader from Haryana, Sonali Phogat, a murder case has been registered. Sonali's brother Rinku Dhaka had alleged that her two associates, who were travelling with her, murdered her. Sonali was found dead in Goa, NDTV reported.

Rinku said that their family would allow Sonali's post-mortem only after the Goa police register an FIR or a case against the associates.

According to him, Sonali had spoken to their family a short while before her death. She had spoken with her mother, sister and brother-in-law. She was disturbed then and complained against the associates, Rinku alleged.

Sonali Phogat, a native of Haryana's Hisar and TikTok fame, was brought dead on Tuesday at the St Anthony Hospital in North Goa district, police have informed earlier. She was suspected of having died of a heart attack, and police had registered a case of unnatural death. Her body is being kept in the Goa Medical College and Hospital morgue at present.

Meanwhile, her daughter Yashodhara said that Sonali deserves justice and, therefore, proper investigation into it is imperative, as well as punishing the culprits.

In the last Harayana Assembly election, Sonali contested from Adampur as a BJP candidate. She appeared in 'Big Boss', the reality show, in 2020.
