Ayodhya: The Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation (IICF) Trust that is overseeing the construction of the mosque in Dhannipur village, Ayodhya, has submitted its building plan to the Development Authority on Monday, as per a PTI report.

The Trust has set a deadline of 30 months to complete the construction of three main complexes on the five-acre plot -- a mosque, museum and hospital.

According to a statement, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation member, Afzaal Ahmad Khan held a meeting with officials of the development authority about the project, under which a 300-bed super-speciality hospital, a community kitchen and a research centre to highlight the Muslim's contribution to nation-building will be constructed.

The Supreme Court had allotted five acres in the Babri Masjid-Ramjanbhoomi case. The verdict had paved the way for the construction of a Ram temple on the site.

The Ram temple, being constructed about 40 km from Dhannipur, is likely to be completed in 39 months.

The mosque will have enough space to accommodate around 2,000 people at a time.

The sketches of the plan in 11 sets were submitted to Ayodhya Development Authority Vice-Chairman Vishal Singh with a processing fee of ₹ 89,000 for approval, the statement said.

Afzaal Khan added that the sketches could not be submitted online as they were large in size.
