New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday urged the Centre to include images of Hindu deities of prosperity on Indian currency notes.

Sounding more a jib than an advice, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal suggested pictures of Lakshmi and Ganesh alongside the image of Mahatma Gandhi.

Kejriwal said these images of Gods and Goddess on the currencies will bring prosperity to India.

If Indonesia, a Muslim majority country with only 2-3 per cent Hindus, can do it why India cannot, AAP national convener asked.

The AAP leader said he would write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including images in currencies and added that blessings of Gods and Goddesses were required when efforts did not fructify, according to PTI.

AAP is taking on BJP in Gujarat where poll analysts predict intense fight in the upcoming elections.

Kejriwal challenged the BJP to cite one good thing it had done in Gujarat in its 27 years of ruling the state.

The Delhi CM exuded confidence in people of Delhi rejecting the BJP in the upcoming MCD polls in December.
