New Delhi: The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Saadatullah Hussaini said that Indian Muslims will overcome the atmosphere of fear and terror with their own faith and become politically powerful. Hussaini called on Muslims not to fear the devil's companions and to fear only Allah.

The Jamaat head was delivering the keynote speech at the public gathering organized at Delhi's 'Milli Model' ground in connection with the 75th anniversary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

He recalled that a group of people in Allahabad came together and resolved to go forward with the Islamic movement at a time when they were faced with an existential crisis of whether it would be possible to live in India while preserving the Islamic identity.

If we look back now, it may seem like a difficult decision today, but it took extraordinary courage to make such a decision back then, he said. The same courage and vigor are what Indian Muslims need again in 2023 after seven and a half decades.

The national chief of the Jama'at All India president asked Indian Muslims to take a look at the current Indian situation from the perspective of a believer. Allah said through the Qur'an that it is the companions of the devil who fill your hearts with fear and do not fear them and fear Me alone.

Peace is what Muslims in the country are looking for the most today. The Qur'an says that if you want peace, and security for life and property, then you should adhere to faith which is the first condition for a Muslim to meet in order to win God's representation on earth.

Muslim Personal Law Board member S.Q.R Ilyas, Delhi head of the Jamaat-e-Islami Abdul Waheed, All India General Secretary of Students' Organisation of Indiad (SIO) Salman Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami Delhi Women President Fatima Tanveer and others also spoke.
