New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar doubled down on Pakistan again saying that India's expectation levels with Pakistan are never very high, according to India Today.

Following the spat last week, Jaishankar targeted Pakistan when he was answering a question from the press that sought his response to Pakistan foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto's remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bilawal Bhutto earlier called PM Modi "butcher of Gujarat" causing a flurry of protests across India.

The Pakistan minister targeted Modi personally after Jaishanker pinned down on Pakistan's support to terrorism citing the example of 'hosting Osama Bin Laden' in Pakistan.

Both the minsters earlier entered into a war of words at the UN Security Council briefing on terrorism.

Responding to Bhutto's remark against Modi, Jaishankar said the foreign minister has said "whatever we have to say".

India's ministry of external affairs earlier rated Bhutto's remarks as "new low, even for Pakistan", adding that Pakistan minister should have directed his frustrations towards the masterminds of terrorist enterprises in Pakistan.

The statement further said that Pakistan needs to change its own mindset or remain pariah, according to India Today.

Following Bhutto's remarks against PM Modi, the BJP workers burnt the Pakistan leader in effigies, as well as taking out massive protest.
