Lucknow: The Congress printed calendars with pictures of Priyanka Gandhi ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. A 12-page calendar with Priyanka's full - length picture, is being distributed in the state. The distribution of the calendar comes amid speculation that Priyanka might be the Congress's chief ministerial candidate in the elections. "AICC sent 10 lakh calendars to UP. They will be distributed from Friday as a part of a campaign in the state," UP Congress organizing secretary Anil Yadav said.

The calendar conveys the congress leader's political journey such as her pictures with the tribal women in Sonbhada, Uttar Pradesh, interacting with women in Amethi, performing pooja at Mahakal temple in Ujjain, attending Gandhi Jayanti in Lucknow, attending Ravidas Jayanti in Varanasi, meeting relatives of Hathras victims, speaking at Azamgarh.

The Congress campaign in UP will be held from January 3 to 25 in order to strengthen the party. A spokesman for the Congress said that in addition to Priyankaji's visits, the calendar also includes information on Samoa reformers, leaders and important events. The Congress has formed 8,000 Nyaya panchayats to build up the party at the village level.

Similarly, Rahul Gandhi had also distributed the calendar in his own constituency in Wayanad, Kerala.
