New Delhi: Veteran actor and superstar from Tamil Kamal Haasan is all set to join Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra on December 24, reports NDTV.

Kamal's political party, Makkal Needi Maiam, said that he would join the Yatra next week in Delhi. He was invited by Rahul Gandhi to join him, the party said.

The Yatra is planning to enter Delhi on December 24, and eight days later, it will reach BJP-ruling Uttar Pradesh, then Haryana. Next month, it will reach Punjab and will go to Jammu and Kashmir after.

On Friday, the Yatra reached 100 days after travelling eight states. Yatra had started from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, then entered Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

On Friday, the organisers set a musical concert to mark the 100th day of the Yatra. There, singers such as Sunidhi Chauhan and others performed. On the occasion, Rahul Gandhi said that the Union government was sleeping while China was preparing for war.

Former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan attended the Yatra in Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. Footage from it surfaced on social media and showed Rahul Gandhi and Rajan having a discussion during the march.

In Madhya Pradesh, actor Swara Basker walked along with Rahul Gandhi. Here, Olympic medallist boxer and Congress leader Vijender Singh also attended the Yatra.
