CPM politburo member Brenda Karat responded to BJP national president J.P. Nadda's statement that Kerala is a hotspot for terrorists. She said the statement is completely false and misleading.

She added that a look at the data and figures released by the central government controlled by BJP will convince him of his mistake. Kerala ranks first in terms of peace, communal harmony, people's unity, and government performance among other aspects. Kerala ranks first in all social indicators.
