Madhya Pradesh woman leaves home after husband cooked two tomatoes not consulting her

Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh: A man in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol complained that his wife left home after he cooked two tomatoes without asking her.

Sandeep Burman, who runs an eatery, went to the police to help find out his wife Aarti Burman.

‘She left the home along with my daughter and boarded a bus. I have been looking for her for three days and given her photograph too to the police but they haven't been able to find her,’ Burman was quoted as saying.

Rising tomato price forced many families to rationing berries in curries nevertheless it is an essential ingredient.

Aarti was upset after her husband used two tomatoes she put aside without consulting her.

The couple started an argument over it, which led the wife to pack her things, taking along their daughter.

The police acknowledged having received a complaint, and a senior cop said ‘Aarti left her home after an argument with her husband and went to her sister's place in Umaria.’

After having the couple talked the issue out and reached at an understanding, police said Aarti will return to her husband soon.

The Consumer Affairs Ministry reportedly blamed the price rise on issues in planting and harvesting seasons of tomatoes.

Meanwhile, the Centre said it would sell tomatoes at discounted rates in retail markets in Delhi and a few cities.
