In a heart-warming display of religious harmony, a group of six Hindu pilgrims on their way to the Sabarimala temple in Kerala found refuge in the premises of Livaul Huda Jumma Masjid and Madrassa in Edathara village of Kodagu District in Karnataka.

Faced with the looming danger of wildlife attacks, particularly from elephants, the pilgrims sought shelter from the mosque's management, which accommodated them.

The group, hailing from a village near Gokak in Belagavi district, had embarked on a bike journey to Sabarimala. When they reached Edathara village, surrounded by dense forests, they became aware of the potential threat posed by wildlife, prompting them to approach the mosque for assistance.

The President of the masjid, Usman, and office-bearer Khateeb Quamaruddin Anvari responded and made all necessary arrangements for the pilgrims within the mosque premises. The pilgrims, identified as Kamalesh Gowri, Bheemappa Sanadi, Shivananda Navedi, Gangadhara Badide, and Siddarod Sanadi, were also permitted to carry out their worship rituals within the mosque.

Expressing their gratitude, the pilgrims performed their morning prayers at the mosque before continuing their journey to Sabarimala. Usman, the President of the masjid, shared his sentiment saying, "We are ready to provide facilities to devotees, irrespective of their religion, at our mosque in Edathara. This region is prone to attacks by elephants during the night. Whoever passes through this stretch can stay in the masjid; we will provide all the facilities. All gods are one."

The gesture of interfaith cooperation has garnered praise from the local community and beyond, highlighting the importance of unity and compassion in facing challenges. The Livaul Huda Jumma Masjid and Madrassa's management serves as an example of the spirit of inclusivity, proving that acts of kindness transcend religious boundaries
