MP Teen elopes with Muslim lover after BJP MP Pragya Thakur shows her The Kerala Story

Bhopal: A 19-year-old Hindu woman eloped with her Muslim lover after watching the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’ with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sadhvi Pragya Thakur.
The girl, a nursing student from Naya Basera area of Bhopal, was about to tie the knot on May 30. But she was in love with her neighbour Yusuf and eloped with him taking money and jewellery just before the wedding. Pragya Singh Thakur had advised the girl to distance herself from Yusuf and also took the woman to watch The Kerala Story.
Her family registered a complaint accusing Yusuf of luring their daughter with “sweet talk”. They alleged that Yusuf brainwashed their daughter and convinced her to elope with him.
The complaint further added that their daughter was paying a loan undertaken by Yusuf.
However, dismissing her family’s allegation, the young woman stated that she was not forced in any way and ran away with Yusuf of her own free will.
Meanwhile, Yusuf’s father showed an affidavit, which was advertised in newspapers stating that he has legally disowned his son.
“I was tired of my son’s antics. He would fight with the locals, and would come home inebriated and create a ruckus. I used to stand surety for my son, but one day I just gave up. He is no son of mine. Now, because of his antics, my whole family is under threat,” said his father.
Yusuf’s family came to know about his relationship eight months ago. “We were scared because the woman belonged to a different community. So, we sent a message through some common friends (to the woman’s family). We told them to please look after their daughter. We don’t want her to marry our son,” his mother said.
The Kerala Story follows the story of a Hindu woman from Kerala, played by Adah Sharma. She is brainwashed to embrace Islam and sent to Syria, where she is forced to join the terror outfit, IS. The movie was in controversy since its teaser was released last year.
