Lucknow: A video of a group of people offering Namaz in the newly inaugurated Lulu Mall in Lucknow has irked the right-wing Hindutva outfit Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha. The organisation has issued a warning that if Namaz is offered there again, it will unleash protest by reciting Sundar Kand, Times Now reported.

In a statement released by the Hindu Mahasabha, it also urged Hindus to boycott the mall. The organisation claimed that after the opening of the mall, 'love jihad' was being promoted there. Eighty per cent of the employees hired by the mall are Muslims, and the rest 20 per cent are Hindu girls, which is how love jihad started there, the organisation alleged.

According to the statement, the Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government has banned Namaz in public places and therefore, strict action must be taken to stop the same inside the mall.

On July 10, Adityanath inaugurated the mall in the presence of Lulu Group chairman Yusuffali MA. The mall is located in the Amar Shaheed Path, Golf City.

The mall, spread over 2.2 million square feet, houses LuLu Hypermarket, the family entertainment zone Funtura, 15 fine dining restaurants, a massive food court with 25 brand outlets, cafes etc. Including the Lucknow mall, Lulu has five malls in India, and the rest are located in Kochi, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and Thrissur.
