New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday made the biggest ever seizure of drugs worth thousands of crores.

The major crackdown on drug cartels saw the anti-drugs agency recovering huge quantity of party drug LSD, busting a ‘nationwide dark net drug syndicate’, according to NDTV.

It is reported that along with seizure of drugs, the agency arrested several smugglers too.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will reveal more details of the drug seizure at a press conference today.

The biggest haul of drug comes after India Navy recovered 2,525 kg of ethamphetamine worth ₹ 25,000 crores from a boat on the coast of Kerala last month.

Describing it the largest drug seizure in value, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Ops) said that the drugs ‘originated from the Chabahar port in Iran. The source of the drugs is Pakistan’.

Since the launching of Operation Samudragupta in February 2022, more than than 4,000 kg of drugs have been seized, according to the report.
