No evidence to prove case of conspiracy against Aryan Khan: Bombay HC

Mumbai: Releasing bail order for Aryan Khan in the cruise drug case, the Bombay High Court said that nothing objectionable was found in WhatsApp conversations between Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha.

There is nothing to prove that the accused trio had conspired to commit drug-related offences, the court observed in the bail order.

"There is hardly any positive evidence on record to convince this Court that all the accused persons with common intention agreed to commit an unlawful act," the order read.

Travelling of Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha together in the same cruise did not constitute the foundation for a case of conspiracy against them, the order said.

The HC order also said that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) cannot rely on the alleged confessional statements recorded by the investigating officer as they are not binding.
