The 87-year-old former Haryana Chief Minister was convicted last Saturday by the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi in the case, according to India Today.

He had appealed the court for a lighter punishment, citing medical ailments and old age.

But CBI on the other hand demanded for maximum punishment for leader of the Indian National Lok Dal.
