After a string of hate-inciting speeches targeting Muslims during election campaigns, which sparked widespread criticism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the BJP would welcome the Muslim community even if they laid siege to its offices, aiming to alleviate concerns.

In an exclusive interview with Times Network, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the Muslim community to engage with the BJP in order to dispel misconceptions and misunderstandings. He also called on the Muslim community to introspect on why they did not receive benefits from the previous government, specifically targeting the Congress party.

"If you start mingling, if you feel BJP people are the ones spreading fear, please 50 people come and sit in the BJP office. Will they ask you to leave? What's happening? Who will ask you to leave? Please go lay siege to the BJP office. Who's stopping you?" PM Modi said.

Despite PM Modi's attribution of responsibility to the Congress party for marginalizing the Muslim community, particularly in education, it is evident that under the Modi government, numerous minority education schemes and scholarships aimed at benefiting Muslim students were significantly reduced or abolished.

PM Modi urged them to ponder over the reasons behind their perceived exclusion from the benefits of governmental initiatives, particularly during the Congress era.

Expressing a concern for their welfare, he urged them to consider the future prospects of their children and their own. "I don’t want any community to live the life of bonded labour because someone is creating an atmosphere of fear," he emphasized.

Furthermore, PM Modi extended an olive branch to assuage any apprehensions within the Muslim community regarding their place in the political landscape. He invited them to directly engage with the BJP encouraging open dialogue and participation. Asserting the openness of the BJP, he challenged sceptics to test their inclusivity by visiting party offices without fear of exclusion.
