New Delhi: An online portal has been launched to share "inspiring" stories featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi from people who have interacted with him during his lifetime, PTI reported.

The portal, modistory.in, has tweeted that the volunteer-driven initiative has been launched to bring together "inspiring moments" from Modi's life, narrated by his co-travellers. The portal was inaugurated by Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, the tweet said

The site shares stories, experiences and anecdotes from people such as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manoranjan Kalia from Punjab, where Modi started his political journey as party office-bearer. The site also features Rasbihari Maniyar, Modi's school principal at Vadnagar in Gujarat, and Sharda Prajapati, in whose Modi stayed in the 1990s during his tours. Kalia remembers Modi's keen understanding of election campaigning. Modi advised that they should carry toffees for children during campaigns, Kalia writes. Maniyar wrote about Modi's deep feelings for the country's armed forces. As a young student, Modi had approached Maniyar with a Sainik school application form, he wrote.

Further, Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra and renowned shuttler Pullela Gopichand have shared their experiences with Modi.

Some others wrote about the motivation Modi gave them to work for the country as he travelled around, working for the party.
