New Delhi: Several posters reportedly appeared in many parts of the national capital targeting the BJP, which included a call for ousting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Delhi police are sad to have filed as many as 44 FIRs and arrested four people, including two printing press owners, reports The Indian Express.

The police said that they removed more than 2000 posters and seized as many posters from a van, which was intercepted by the police after it was noticed that the vehicle was coming from the AAP headquarters on DDU Marg.

The report quoted Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order of Northern Zone), Dependra Pathak.

Though the police alleged that the van that was intercepted was coming from the AAP headquarters, no one from the party made any statement in this regard.

Similar posters, which contained critical remarks about PM Modi, were said to have appeared in Delhi two years ago. Following this, the Delhi police arrested 30 people and lodged 25 FIRs.

According to the police, the FIRs were registered under the Prevention of Defacement of Public Property Act and the Press and Registration of Books Act.
