New Delhi: A video clip of Rahul waiting long time trying to answer a question is doing rounds.
At an interview in Cambridge University, he was asked about the compact between violence and non-violence in Indian society, according to India Today.
Rather than answering how he envisioned the compact, the leader paused for a while.
BJP lost no time to jump at the opportunity to take a dig at Rahul Gandhi.
To the question he said a word that came to his mind was forgiveness and added it's not precisely the most accurate.
And then he went silent prompting the audience to clap to break the silence.
Rahul shot back saying that he was thinking.
The interviewer stepped in to say that the question was not meant to stump him.
Rahul said he was trying to go deeper into the answer.
As the video emerged in India it got played into the hands of his detractors.
Netrizens reportedly made fun of his silence.
BJP' IT cell chief shared the video with a caption asking the leader to do a "scripted conversation with a journalist for max impact"
