Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that Rajasthan is likely to have a Congress government after the assembly elections. He alleged that the BJP is worried that the people have made up their minds to vote the Congress to power.

He added that the public's opinion has been influenced by the work Congress has done in the past four years. "There are excellent schemes in Rajasthan including the Chiranjeevi health insurance scheme and most of them cannot be found in any other state. The Congress is going to repeat the government after the elections."

Gehlot criticised Home Minister for what he said at the BJP booth workers' meeting in Jodhpur. He alleged that Shah lied and spoke without facts.

He added that the state government has waived loans worth Rs 14,000 crore to 22,000 farmers. Soon after coming to power, he decided to make FIR registration compulsory in crime cases. This means the registration of crimes has increased but it does not mean crimes have increased.

"The home minister should have said in Jodhpur that he will examine the Rajasthan government's decision of compulsory registration of FIRs and implement it in the entire country," said the CM.

Rajasthan is gearing up for assembly elections slated to be held next year.

Responding to BJP's t-shirt barb at Rahul Gandhi, Gehlot said BJP is worried because the Bharat Jodo yatra is getting an extraordinary response from people. He claimed that Home Minister Amit Shah's muffler costs ₹80,000 while saffron party leaders wear sunglasses worth ₹2.5 lakh.

"Prime minister, home minister, and other leaders are leaving their work and attacking Rahul Gandhi. They are talking about Rahul Gandhi's T-shirt while they wear sunglasses of Rs 2.5 lakh and the muffler of Rs 80,000," he said.
