Jaipur: The former Rajasthan minister Rajendra Singh Gudha caused ripples in the state hinting at a ‘red diary’ containing incriminating details against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who had sacked Gudha the other day.

The congress is in a turmoil just as Gudha involved in a scuffle with Congress leaders in the state Assembly building where he was barred from entry by House Marshalls, The Indian Express reported.

Gudha was axed as soon as on Friday he called for introspection on what he said assault against women happening in the state rather than the congress talk about Manipur violence.

Landing the congress in trouble, Gudha on Sunday said he had taken possession of a ‘red diary’ from the congress leader Dharmendra Rathore’s house when income tax officials raided it in 2020.

Rathore is a close associate of chief minister Ashok Gehlot and thus reference to Rathore regarding the ‘red diary’ already incited curiosity in the media and the people.

Gudha coming down heavily on Gehlot, as well as creating a mystery about him, told a gathering in Jhunjhunu district Sunday that the chief minister would have landed in jail had he not managed to take out the diary.

The Congress in the state has long been through a crisis after Gehlot’s more enthusiastic rival Sachin Pilot spearheaded agitation against the government.

Back in 2020, Rajasthan witnessed a major crisis that threatened the fall of Gehlot regime.

Gudha narrated that Gehlot had directed him to go to Rathore’s house to get the diary.

‘Had Rajendra Gudha not been there, Mukhyamantriji, you would have been in jail… That day, the CM said, ‘Gudha, everything is now in your hands’, he was quoted as saying.

Gudha’s remarks about violence against women in Rajasthan has given the BJP a breathing space in the state from the criticism it faces over naked parading of women in Manipur.
