New Delhi: One of the protesters arrested for security breach in the parliament on Wednesday was disappointed at being jobless and raised the issue of employment at protests, her family said.

Neelam Devi who was caught along with Amol Shinde while releasing colour smoke outside the House, has completed M.Phil research but is still jobless, NDTV reported citing her family.

She has also successfully cleared central examinations mandatory for teaching jobs.

‘She is highly qualified, but wasn't getting a job. She was so stressed because of this that she often used to say that I should just die as despite studying so much, I am unable to earn two meals,’ her mother Saraswati was quoted as saying.

The shocking scenes yesterday in the parliament were staged during Zero Hour when two men, Sagar Sharma and D Manoranjan, jumped out of the visitors' gallery and into the chamber.

One of them opened a yellow smoke canister before jumping from desk to desk heading towards the Speaker's Chair.

Neelam's brother, Ramniwas, told reporters that the family had no idea why she had done it, and rejected her having links to any political party.

‘She had completed her BA, MA, M. Phil and had cleared NET, but was still unemployed. She moved to Jind( In Haryana) six months ago and was preparing for the Secondary Teachers Eligibility Test,’ Ramniwas was quoted as saying.

Ramniwas reportedly said Neelam Devi raised the situation of unemployment at protests and participated in the Delhi farmers protest demanding repeal of farm bills.
