SIT finds 'no evidence' to prove Aryan Khan's link to international drug syndicate

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), has found that there is no evidence to prove that actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was part of a larger drugs conspiracy or an international drugs trafficking syndicate.

Contrary to allegations made by the NCB's Mumbai unit, a report on HindustanTimes states some key findings that state there was no need to take Aryan's phone and check his chats as he was 'never in possession of drugs'.

The said chats also did not suggest that the star-kid was part of any international syndicate. Another finding stated that the raid was 'not video-recorded which is a mandate in the NCB's manual.

The SIT has also revealed that several irregularities in the raid on the yacht Cordelia came to the forefront during their investigation.

The report, however, further states that the SIT probe is not yet complete and it could take a couple more months before it submits its final report. A legal opinion will be taken on whether Khan can be charged for consumption even though he was not found with any drugs on him.

The SIT probe has seemingly raised more questions over the purpose of the raid conducted by the agency's former Mumbai Zonal Unit director, Sameer Wankhede.

Commenting on the latest findings, the SIT chief and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) DDG (operation), Sanjay Singh, on Wednesday, said that it is highly premature to say that there is no evidence against Aryan Khan in the Cordelia cruise ship drug case.

"Highly premature to say that there's no evidence against Aryan Khan. Probe still in progress; recorded multiple statements. Have not reached any conclusion yet," Mr Singh told ANI.
