Bengalaru: Karnataka Rural Development Minister K S Eshwarappa on Thursday sparked an outcry saying that all Muslims and Christians in the country would associate themselves with the RSS in the future, according to Indian Express.

The statement came after Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri told Congress lawmaker Zameer Ahmed Khan that the day was not far when everyone would have to accept RSS as "our RSS", which Congress legislators opposed.

It all began after the Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah called attention to the law and order situation in the state. He made reference to RSS speaking about his friendship with a few BJP leaders and ministers in the Assembly.

He batted for mutual respect irrespective of ideological differences. He reportedly said that personal relationship comes above party differences.

To this the Speaker in a lighter vein asked why he was feeling troubled about "our RSS". Congress lawmaker Zameer Ahmed Khan cut in questioning the speaker over what he said "our RSS" sitting on Speaker's chair.

As the repartees went on, Eshwarappa said all Muslims and Christians in the country would someday associate themselves with RSS.
